This month's episode focuses on Safe design. Suzy Yates interviews Archicentre Managing Director Robert Caulfield and fire consultant Paul England to find out how to design and build in bushfire zones. This show focused on Greenovating and Suzy's first guest — author and sustainability coach Michael Mobbs — was pushing the envelope on this subject years ago.

In addition to Michael, we were also joined by green builder Darryn Parkinson and green interior designer Sharon Hamilton of Sydney-based builder Your Abode. We also heard the greenovating details on the Doll House and Richmond Remodel from architects Jeremy McLeod and Ed Ewers.

Viewers stole the real Trade Secrets when they asked questions of our panel — Michael, Darryn and Sharon were this episode's experts.

With city dwellers wanting their beachside weekenders to replicate what they have at home, where does the future of the humble beach house lay? Two of Australia's leading designers — architect John Mainwaring from JMA Architecture and Simon Youngleson from Simon Youngleson Architects — joined Suzy and discussed the issue that has many seaside residents up in arms. Suzy also interviewed architect Matt Dickson and homeowner Andrew Perry about the makeover of his 50s fibro beach shack into a modern but humble beachside weekender.
